This is a seasonal excursion, operating January to April.
Enjoy a welcome drink and cheese samples on the platform in Montreux or Zweisimmen before boarding the Cheese Train to Château-d’OEx. Onboard, relax in First class seating and enjoy the views.
Upon your arrival in Château-d’OEx, walk a short distance (approximately 400 metres or 1/4 mile) from the station to the restaurant Le Chalet where you will watch a demonstration of traditional cheese making over an open wood fire by a skilled cheesemaker in traditional costume. Enjoy a lunch of salad and cheese fondue at the restaurant (beverages and dessert are available for purchase).
After lunch, enjoy a stroll (approximately 450 meters or 1/4 mile) to the Musée du Vieux Pays d’Enhaut, a true folk art museum, to experience Swiss arts and crafts paper-cutting displays. Enjoy the museum at your leisure before your return to Montreux/Zweisimmen. Or enjoy the Espace Ballon to discover the adventure of the hot air balloon from every angle. At this point the tour is unescorted. Clients can make their way back to the station at their leisure

•Please note that seats are auto-allocated by train carriers. Depending on availability, carriers will ensure that all passengers of a same party are seated together. Seats can only be swapped once onboard
