Bernina Express is a UNESCO World Heritage listed journey. It features a North-South Alpine crossing (or vice-versa) from Chur to Lugano, with breathtaking views, from the glaciers in St Moritz, Switzerland to the palm trees in Tirano, Italy.
The Bernina Express is a scenic train, operating between Switzerland and Italy. In Summer, an optional bus connects Tirano (Italy) to Lugano. One can expect to be met by wild gorges, soaring bridges, fascinating loop tunnels and crystal white glaciers. The Bernina Express has cars with large windows offering panoramic views, ideal to admire breathtaking landscapes. The main stations on this route are: Chur, Davos, St. Moritz, Bernina Pass, Poschiavo and Tirano (Italy).
