The RENFE Spain Pass allows you to travel around Spain.

  • Important: The RENFE Spain Pass alone does not allow travelling on a train. However, it allows the “free of charge”-purchase of a particular number of tickets for a route within Spain
  • Validity: Four, six, eight, ten journeys within one month
  • Traveller Type: Adults, Child rates available in Tourist class (Second Class) and Club class (First Class)
    • Children under the age of four travel free if not occupying a seat
    • Reduced fares for children 4-13 inclusive
  • The RENFE Spain Pass is valid for AVE, Long Distance (except night trains) and Medium Distance services. The pass is not valid on any international services
  • The RENFE Spain Pass allows you to complete your journey by Commuter train (Regional RENFE train) provided that it connects with the place of origin or destination of your booking

Refunds:

  • The Renfe Spain Pass can be cancelled but penalty fees will apply
  • It is not possible to obtain any refund after making the first journey
  • If the journey is made in an inferior class to that specified on the pass, the holder will not be entitled to any compensation
  • Pass Replacement:
    • If a pass is damaged, lost or stolen, a duplicate can be requested at no charge at the ticket offices of authorised stations
    • It is not possible to change a pass for another one with a different type/class or validity
    • Passholders may change the class specified on their pass from Business/Club to Tourist, without being entitled to any compensation
    • On the contrary, holders of a Tourist Class pass must pay a supplement to cover the difference between Tourist and Business/Club
  • Exceptions:
    • If the details on the pass have been altered or tampered with, or if the pass is used by any person other than the holder, the traveller will be deemed to be travelling without a ticket. In such cases, the pass will be confiscated and the prevailing regulations will be enforced as appropriate
    • If a pass is used without a previously purchased ticket, the traveller will be deemed to be travelling without a ticket and the prevailing regulations will be enforced as appropriate
