  • Booking Horizon: Tickets may be reserved up to 90 days prior to date of departure
  • no check-in procedures. Ticket checks occur onboard the train
  • Ticket type: Paper tickets only
  • Traveler Type: Adult, Child (4-15), Group and Pass-holder
  • Seat reservations are compulsory and charged at an additional cost
  • Only Second Class tickets are offered to the international market

  • Vending machines are available on shorter routes
  • Longer Routes have an on-board bar-car, offering meals, snacks and refreshments. Food can be pre-ordered at http://www.togservice.no/nsb_eng
  • Most trains offer free internet. Passengers must register with an email address and password to access Wi-Fi.
  • Disabled passengers can reserve a wheelchair space by calling the NSB call center on (+47) 815 00 888
  • There is a 30kg luggage allowance
  • Ski equipment is permitted and must be placed in the designated areas
  • pushchairs are permitted on-board at no cost
  • Bicycles are permitted, at a fee.
  • On regional trains, bicycles will only be allowed onto trains, if there is space available
  • Long distance trains require bicycle reservations to be made, prior to train departure. For bicycle reservations call the NSB call center on (+47) 815 00 888
